Perdomo Expands Demolition Capabilities with Acquisition of Ultra-High Reach Excavator
Perdomo has announced the acquisition of a new Hitachi ZX890LC, an ultra-high reach demolition excavator capable of reaching nearly 170 feet. The addition enhances Perdomo’s ability to safely and efficiently execute complex structural demolition projects, particularly high-rise industrial facilities and large-scale structures.
The machine is part of the ZAXIS-6 series from Hitachi Construction Machinery Americas, designed to improve performance, efficiency, and operator comfort. The acquisition aligns with Perdomo’s continued investment in advanced equipment to increase productivity and deliver greater value across demolition and site redevelopment projects.
The ZX890LC’s ultra-high reach configuration allows Perdomo to perform controlled top-down demolition on taller structures, reducing the need for additional staging, secondary equipment, and extended project timelines. This capability improves both safety and efficiency while expanding the range of projects the company can execute in-house.
