Warren County, NJ — Perdomo Worldwide has completed the acquisition of the historic Fibermark Paper Mill in Warren County, New Jersey, as part of the company’s growing portfolio of Risk Liability Transfer (RLT) projects. The site, which dates back to the early 1900s, was originally constructed by the Riegal Paper Company and once stood as the largest industrial structure in the area.

After more than a century of operation and eventual closure, the Fibermark facility posed significant environmental, structural, and financial challenges. Perdomo Worldwide assumed full responsibility for the property in 2024, alleviating the previous owner of long-term liabilities through a comprehensive risk transfer model that includes environmental compliance, site remediation, and future land repositioning.

“This site is a reflection of our mission—taking on high-risk, high-potential industrial properties and transforming them into viable future assets,” said a spokesperson for Perdomo Worldwide. “The Fibermark mill had historic significance and industrial complexity, both of which required a thoughtful and experienced approach.”

Demolition and asset recovery services were led by Perdomo of NY, the firm’s specialized demolition and remediation division. Over $9.2 million in scrap materials were recycled as part of an integrated effort involving earthwork, industrial dismantlement, environmental remediation, and materials processing. The project demonstrated Perdomo’s commitment to sustainable practices and maximizing value from legacy assets.

While future development plans for the site are under consideration, Perdomo Worldwide remains focused on environmental stewardship and compliance, ensuring the site is responsibly stabilized and positioned for long-term use.
